In this epsidoe of draw talk we have a short tutorial that ties into the on going perspective drawing tutorials on the channel. Here I cover how to strategically set up and plan a drawing in perspective. Using the picture plane, cone of vision, vanishing points and horizon line. This method of almost working backwards, allows you to create a perfect view and locate where to place the vanishing points with no distortion in the drawing. Its especially useful for accurate design work.

It was the summer of 1979, I was a child and I was spending my summer holidays in Gagino (Sant'Andrea di Cassine), a small village among vineyards and hills of Piedmont (Italy). My brother and I were creating mushrooms with clay when my father took some photographs. I was wearing my Captain Marvel t-shirt and I was sulking because I didn't want to be photographed.

How to draw a horse in a tribal tattoo design style.
You will see me first draft out the horse, and then once I'm happy with it I then start to add tribal shapes within the horse creating a tribal abstract image.

I quickly map out a rough sketch of a skull and then work in some curvy sharp tribal marks. The key is to not over do it. Simple always works best.
