Learn to make your drawings look more like photographs with shading and detail! In this graphite tutorial I am going to go demonstrate how to fully shade a baby longhorn. This was completed on 8x10" vellum paper using prismacolor turquoise pencils, Derwent Graphic pencils, a mechanical pencil filled with Ain 4B 0.5mm lead, General's Layout (extra black) pencils, blending stumps, chamois, an electric eraser, a vanish brand eraser, kneaded eraser, Faber-Castell perfection pencil eraser, and a bit of white ink.

As for my recommended lightbox, I have a Artograph LightTracer Light Box http://goo.gl/0OLXvl that I use for students. I do not recommend buying the larger size unless you have a larger than average printer. Most people are not going to be using anything larger than a printed 8x10, so the small size is perfect. If you have a flat screen computer monitor, you can tape your paper to that and trace directly from the monitor. No, this will not damage the computer screen as long as you do not apply much pressure...which you shouldn't be doing anyway because you want your initial outlines very light.

I'm trying out the Winsor and Newton Pigment markers for wildlife fur...live. On my last livestream with these markers I drew a frog. The smooth skin came out great...but what about tiger fur? We will be finding out!

I'm working on Yupo 74# paper
Most of these Pigment Markers were provided to me by Winsor & Newton to test out. I liked them enough that I purchased several more myself, so this video is a mixture of products I've purchased myself and some that were provided to me by Winsor & Newton.
