In today's speed painting I'm demonstrating a flamingo and bees in acrylics. I've worked on a Fredrix Convexo canvas that I gessoed and sanded for a smooth surface and used Liquitex acrylic paints.

As always, I am in no way claiming that my tips are the only way to do things. These are just some pieces of advice that I would offer to my own students.

In this time lapse painting tutorial, I show you how to paint a snow leopard. I focus on layering of fur to create realistic texture and depth. While this is painted in acrylic, the same techniques can be used in oils. It was painted on a 30" Fredrix Convexo (beveled edge) canvas that I applied a single layer of gesso to and sanded with 400 grit sandpaper to create a really smooth painting surface.
Thanks to Fredrix for providing me with the canvas.

Today I'm painting a very simple landscape to show you the basics of painting rain and fog. The techniques that I'm showing you can work with oil or acrylic paint. Then I will show you a clip of how I applied these techniques on an elephant painting!

I'm using Liquitex basics acrylic paint for these paintings and liquitex heavy body transparent mixing white for the fog. I'm working on a Fredrix watercolor canvas board for the landscape and a Fredrix Belgian Linen canvas for the elephants.

My reference photo for the elephants comes from Clare Smith over at http://pmp-art.com

Comment dessiner une bouche

Est-ce qu'on a besoin d'avoir un don ?
Est-ce que tout le monde peut dessiner?

Prendre un crayon et dessiner ne suffit pas..
Même si la pratique est primordiale, elle passe en second plan !
