In this time lapse painting tutorial, I show you how to paint a snow leopard. I focus on layering of fur to create realistic texture and depth. While this is painted in acrylic, the same techniques can be used in oils. It was painted on a 30" Fredrix Convexo (beveled edge) canvas that I applied a single layer of gesso to and sanded with 400 grit sandpaper to create a really smooth painting surface.
