In this speed painting demonstration, I'm painting three dolphins in black and white under a teal wave and stormy clouds.

I'm painting on a Fredrix gallery wrapped canvas. This canvas had too much tooth for fine detail, but I loved the shape (1 1/2" thick stretcher bars) so I just gessoed it with Liquitex gesso, dried it, then sanded it down with 800grit sandpaper for a smooth finish.

The colors I'm using are Liquitex basics in white, mars black, bright aqua green mixed with a bit of phthalo blue to get my teal color, and som permanent green deep for glazing over portions of the wave.

This is Deja's Dark Knight (Joker). This horse almost died last year with 3 breaks in his right front leg. His wonderful owners nursed and loved him back to health. He is now a healthy and happy boy!
In this painting demonstration I show you how I painted an acrylic underpainting using liquitex basics acrylic paints before I started working in oil paint. I used Windsor and Newton, and Webber's Permalba (for my opaque black and white) paints. This was completed on an 18"x24" canvas.

In this time lapse painting tutorial, I show you how to paint a snow leopard. I focus on layering of fur to create realistic texture and depth. While this is painted in acrylic, the same techniques can be used in oils. It was painted on a 30" Fredrix Convexo (beveled edge) canvas that I applied a single layer of gesso to and sanded with 400 grit sandpaper to create a really smooth painting surface.

Today I'm painting a very simple landscape to show you the basics of painting rain and fog. The techniques that I'm showing you can work with oil or acrylic paint. Then I will show you a clip of how I applied these techniques on an elephant painting!

I'm using Liquitex basics acrylic paint for these paintings and liquitex heavy body transparent mixing white for the fog. I'm working on a Fredrix watercolor canvas board for the landscape and a Fredrix Belgian Linen canvas for the elephants.

In this time lapse drawing tutorial I walk you through how I drew a lion in graphite and carbon pencil. This was done on Fabriano Artistico Hot Press water color paper. I used a mechanical pencil filled with Ain 4B 0.5 lead, various derwent and prismacolor pencils, a blending stump, a tombow eraser, and a pentel clic eraser. A whole painting in 10 minutes?! I was challenged by artist Ryan O'Rourke to finish a whole painting in 10 minutes. I painted this surreal landscape with waterfalls in acrylics. Because it's only a ten minute painting, you get to watch in real time while I give you some tips and techniques for this beginner acrylic painting!

The rules are that you can start with a white or black canvas, you can have your drawing sketched out, you can work in any medium, and you have to finish in 10 minutes or less!

In today's demonstration I'm completing a chickadee with flowers against a bokeh background using Luminance colored pencils by Caran d'Ache. I'm working on Fabriano Artistico hot pressed 140lb water color paper. My reference photo for the chickadee is from photographer Rodney Campbell at Paint paintmyphoto.ning.com
