The foot is challenging to draw because it’s flexible, asymmetrical, and should usually look like it’s on the ground (perspective). Since the foot is so bony, knowing the inside anatomy directly helps you draw the outside surface. This lesson will focus on the overall design of the foot, along with the form, proportion, and mobility of the individual bones.

The forearm is a complicated area with nearly 20 muscles overlapping and interacting. There are several patterns that make the forearm manageable to draw. It can be simplified into three main groups: the flexors, the extensors, and the ridge muscles. Each group has it’s own unique form. Learning their anatomy will help you design awesomely dynamic arms. It’s a fun and info-packed lesson. If you’re struggling with forearms, hopefully this will help.

It was painted in acrylic (liquitex basics) and air brushing (an Iwata airbrush and createx paint) /mixed media under oil paint on an 8"x24" canvas.
