How to draw a dove by Jonathan Harris.

I first start by drafting out a basic dove shape and then once I'm happy with the general layout I start to add a little detail. In the video you will see me erase the drawing this is so I can apply a neater line. If you do something similar when you draw a dove make sure to not completely erase your drawing, just enough so you can still see the marks.

Quick sketch of a rose. I first lightly sketch out an oval shape and then start to add arc shapes in a spiral kinda way. Once I'm happy with the composition I start to add some detail to the petals e.t.c. Once the details are down you now need to erase all unwanted lines and marks.. and then go round it again in a heavier line or ink pen. Then add a little shading. This sketch will later become one of my rose tattoo designs.

I will show you the process I use when designing a tribal cross design. Its quite simple you first start by sketching a out a basic cross shape in pencil and then go around it adding spikes and curves until you see fit. Once your happy with it go around it in a black ink pen. Remove all unwanted lines and marks with an eraser and then fill it in black with a marker pen.

This video basically shows how I sketch my subjects in paint.. I never draw them out in pencil first I like to go straight in with the paint.. I typically spend up to around 30 minutes drafting and then I go in and fine tune everything changing up areas as I go.
