In music we call it a "cover" when we remake someone else's song. In fine art we don't really have a good name for it. Today I'm demonstrating my van Gogh almond branch "cover" in acrylic paint, and walking you through the steps I took to complete it.

I'm working on a Fredrix Natrue Core Mixed Media paint board and using Liquitex basics acrylic paints with createx airbrush paint on my background.

Today I'm reviewing the Prismacolor Premier and the Caran d'Ache Luminance colored pencils. I will talk about the main differences between these two wax based pencils and do a demonstration using both brands. These are my personal views and experiences with these two products. I've also included a couple of tips on how you can fix broken prismacolor pencils.

As someone who has never enjoyed working in markers, I expected these Winsor & Newton Pigment Markers to be no different. WOW was I wrong! These lightfast markers blend almost like paint. I'm sharing my first impressions of these markers and giving you a lesson on some of the ways you can use them for blending, shading and detail.
