In today's demonstration, I'm using inktense blocks and pencils by Derwent to paint an octopus in a tree with chickadees.

These are not watercolor, but they can get a similar look. Unlike watercolor these are permanent when dry so you can glaze much like you would with acrylics.

In this time lapse painting video I demonstrate how I painted a surreal winter landscape with snow, mountains, a dormant tree, the Earth, moon and of course my favorite...light bulbs! I painted this in acrylic (liquitex basics) and air brushing (an Iwata airbrush with createx paint) before going over all of it in oil paint on a 24"x30" canvas.

In this time lapse drawing demonstration, I show you how to complete a portrait in colored pencil. I used Fabriano Artistico HP watercolor paper for this with Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils and a few Caran d'Ache Luminance pencils. Some of the colors I used are listed below.

In this time lapse painting demonstration, I show you how I painted a childs portrait by glazing layers of translucent oil paint on a Fredrix oil primed linen canvas board using Winsor & Newton oil paints. I started by painting it all in black and white paint. When that dried I went over everything with several layers of translucent colors. Thanks to Fredrix for providing me with the canvas.

In this video I demonstrate layer by layer, how to paint a space and dandelion surreal scene with an airbrush and acrylic paint.
This painting was completed in July 2012
It was painted in acrylic (liquitex basics) and air brushing (an Iwata airbrush and createx paint) /mixed media on a 16"x20" canvas.
