A lot of this content has been created as result of influence of CVT approach by Cathrine Sadolin, Raz Kennedy teaching philosophy and other vocal methods like tuvan singing etc.

In this video, I talk about what voice settings you need to take into account in order to learn how to sing with rasp and distortion.

We (people) cannot directly move false cords, as well as for example hands or eyebrows.

Therefore, we need to create such conditions in the vocal tract so that it is most convenient for the false cords to get involved in the process.

And we started getting raspy singing.

The recipe is:

- Support
- Twang,
- Freedom and flexibility in the body.

Next, we reduce the space in the vocal tract above the vocal cords themselves

- Smiled slightly,
- Slightly larynx up,
- Tongue back and down.
For what?
To get a better chance of involving false cords and arytenoid catillages in the process of sound formation.

When the technique is set, you can begin experiments with the timbre of sound. In fact, you can use these effects on any timbre. Another question is that it is easier to find them under certain circumstances.

Good luck and keep an eye on comfort.
Despite the aggressive nature of the sound - it can and should be reproduced with absolute comfort in the body and in the throat in particular.
