A cuboctahedron is an Archimedean solid.
The first stellation of the cuboctahedron is the compound of a cube and its dual octahedron, with the vertices of the cuboctahedron located at the midpoints of the edges.
It is the same to say that the solid common to both the cube and the octahedron in a cube-octahedron compound is a cuboctahedron.

In this time lapse painting demonstration, I m giving you tips and techniques to teach you how to paint simple water droplets and bubbles. I am using acrylic paint but you can also do this with oils. I painted this on a Fredrix Value Series Cut Edge Canvas Panel. This was a great canvas for practice because they are inexpensive, yet you're still working on a fredrix canvas so the surface feels just like working on a stretched canvas. Thanks to Fredrix for providing me with the canvas.

Today's art question is how to blend acrylics smoothly. What do you do when you keep getting too much texture? This could be an issue of the type of paint you use, the type of brush you use, or needing to learn wet into wet blending!
