Today I'm walking you through how to paint a very simple surreal landscape. This would be a great painting for beginners, or someone more advanced who wants a quick project to paint.

I've used liquitex basics with a bit of liquitex heavy bodied transparent mixing white on the balloons. I also used some white createx airbrush paint on the background, but you can use the transparent mixing white for that if you don't have an airbrush. I painted this on a Fredrix Nature Core Linen paint board.

In this time lapse painting I demonstrate how to paint a surreal canyon scene with a hawk and chickadee in acrylic paints and airbrushing. This painting was completed in August of 2013.
It was painted in acrylic (liquitex basics) and air brushing (an Iwata with createx paint) /mixed media on a 24x36" Fredrix Blue Lable ultra smooth canvas. Thanks to Fredrix for providing me with the canvas.

This is Deja's Dark Knight (Joker). This horse almost died last year with 3 breaks in his right front leg. His wonderful owners nursed and loved him back to health. He is now a healthy and happy boy!
In this painting demonstration I show you how I painted an acrylic underpainting using liquitex basics acrylic paints before I started working in oil paint. I used Windsor and Newton, and Webber's Permalba (for my opaque black and white) paints. This was completed on an 18"x24" canvas.
