Today I'm walking you through how I painted this colored pencil portrait using Polychromos and Luminance colored pencils. I will be sharing some tips that you can use in your own portraits too!

For her skin tone, I used Luminance Burnt Sienna 10%, Titanium Buff, Paynes Grey 50%, violet Grey, White, French Grey, Sepia 50%, Brown Ochre 10%, Burnt Ochre 10% and Polychromos Nougat and Caput Mortuum.

In this time lapse painting I demonstrate how I use an airbrush with traditional brush work to create a 3D looking peacock. I used createx air brush paint in an Iwata Neo airbrush. All of my traditionally painted work was done with Liquitex Basics, and as always I'm working on a Fredrix canvas. This one is a Creative Edge that I gessoed and sanded down to a fine finish perfect for airbrushing.
