I saw a cool logo effect in the new trailer for the game Star Wars Battlefront II. It's like Lightsabers runs along the contour of the letters, turning them into a hologram. And I decided to make the tutorial about this effect in Adobe After Effects program. For this I will use the free plug-in Video Copilot Saber. The other plugins are standard. It will be necessary to draw a mask for plugin Saber. A large part of the lesson devoted to the imitation of the hologram effect and digital interference in Star Wars style. This method can be used for text and logos. I hope you will enjoy.

In this tutorial let's make handwritten text on paper, which appears with spots of paint. I added a little vibration to the lines, like a classic animation. And I did everything in Stop Motion style. I used only standard plugins for this method: Turbulent Displace, Roughen Edges, Stroke. And the expression of random motion wiggle() in some places. As a result, I got a very cool retro style video clip for intro.

In this tutorial I show you how to quickly customize the parallax effect for 3D animations of a static picture. For this I will use few expressions and layer masks. The layers are arranged one after another and create the shape of the surface. Moving the camera creates a parallax effect. Near layers move faster than distant ones. This finished project you can quickly and easily configured for another picture.
For greater effect you can add to the scene other 3D objects. For example the balloon, the particles hovering in the air, the glare of the sun (aka Lens Flares), etc.

In this tutorial we use Motion Path parameter in Trapcode Particular plugin to create an interesting effect of many lines. First you need to draw the mask with the desired shape. Then copy the form to the position of the light source. And assign the light in the settings of the plugin. And a little bit of tuning of the particles motion for a more beautiful effect. Enjoy!

In this tutorial I'll show how to export MoGraph clones animation from Maxon Cinema 4D to Adobe After Effects as a set of many 3D layers. This will require to use External Compositing Tag in Cinema 4D. With the free RD script for After Effects I cut the composition into many small pieces. And I will make parent link between pieces of composition and imported data from Cinema 4D. Now we can quickly change the video directly in After Effects.To do this you need to install the free connection plug-in for importing *.aec files from MAXON developers for After Effects.

? Анимация падающих снежинок ❄ Снежная анимация, падающий снег в After Effects с Stardust AEplug 206
Урок: Анимация падающих снежинок в After Effects, снежная анимация падающего снега. Как сделать анимацию снежинок? В этом уроке для After Effects мы будем создавать футаж: крупные трехмерные падающие снежинки для фона с помощью плагина Stardust и его новых возможностей для работы с 3D моделями. А для этого нам понадобится в начале где-нибудь раздобыть векторную снежинку, которую мы будем использовать в качестве маски для выдавливания и создания 3D модели снежинки. Можно обвести в Adobe Illustrator футаж снежинки по контуру.
Дальше придется немного попотеть с настройками материалов для моделей снега, отражений и освещения. Мне, если честно, не очень понравился этот процесс в плагине Stardust. Не знаю почему, но распространение света и его блики на поверхности снега работают как-то не так, как в других 3D программах. Поэтому мне пришлось сверху накручивать кучу дополнительных фильтров и эффектов, чтобы картинка смотрелась не так серо и не так скучно, как при стандартном рендере. Ну а как анимировать снежинки понятно и так - они просто падают вниз.
После всех трудов у нас должен получиться падающий снег в After Effects. Ну и в заключении скажу, что полученный результат с падением крупных красивых 3Д снежинок можно использовать в качестве анимированного заднего фона для оформления всяческих новогодних утренников и других тематических зимних праздников. Так как частиц генерируется в эмиттере постоянно, такой фон можно будет сделать любой необходимой длины. И вот анимация снега в After Effects готова!
