In this tutorial I walk you through painting a black and white portrait in oil paint. As usual I'm using a Fredrix Blue Label canvas. I prefer these canvases because they are a polyflax/cotton blend that are triple primed for an ultra smooth surface, perfect for portraits and other fine detail work. Like all Fredrix canvases, they are extremely archival, important when you want your painting to last a lifetime. Thanks to Fredrix for partnering with me on this project and providing me with the canvas.
