See a simple step by step narrated art tutorial showing one way to draw the Taj Mahal in a realistic way.

In this drawing I use a 4B and a 6B pencil. Any soft pencil that can make dark shading would be good to use.

I start with the basic shapes:

1. A square
2. A rectangle
3. An onion dome
4. Two smaller domes either side
5. Four minarets
6. Some arches and a wall
7. A reflecting pond
8. An avenue of dark trees
9. Graded shading.
