Жизнь похожа на колоду карт. Предновогоднее послание от Патрика Бет-Дэвида.

До нового года остались считанные дни, и в 2017 у нас у всех будет кое-что общее. Независимо от возраста, роста, образования и таланта... В 2017 году у нас всех будет 52 недели. Как и в карточной колоде ― 52 карты.

И в колоде карт есть кое-что интересное. В ней есть разные масти: бубны, трефы, червы, пики, а еще есть два Джокера.
И в жизни, если ориентироваться по достоинству, все карты от двойки до восьмерки ― это неудача. А от девятки и выше ― это победа. Но туз ― это колоссальная победа. А Джокер, скажем так, олицетворяет везение: Вам повезло, и в этом нет ничего плохого.

В 2017 году у нас у всех 52 карты и 2 Джокера. И, знаете, в чем основная проблема большинства людей? Они опускают руки, как только вытянут тройку… А за ней ― ещё одну тройку… И говорят: «Всё бесполезно». Неправда. Ваш туз не за горами, если не сходить с пути.

И если в новом году Вы готовы усердно работать все 52 недели, выжимать свой максимум каждую неделю, и не сбавлять обороты все 52 недели в году, ― Вам уж точно попадутся и 4 туза, и дважды улыбнётся удача. Если приложите силы.
