Learn step by step how to draw The Sierpinski Triangle, a fractal that can repeat itself at any scale of magnification or reduction.
To draw this triangle I start with an equilateral triangle.
Next I draw a dot at the half way point on each side of my triangle.
I then join these dots to make a new upside down triangle in the middle and also three new triangles in each corner.
I repeat this process in each upright triangle I create. I use a fine tipped pen for this drawing, but soon I run out of space for more triangles, so I start to draw more triangles outside the original triangle I started with.
To create the fractal zoom effect in this video I repeat a zoomed video image of my drawing. I think this gives some indication of the mathematical properties of the Sierpinski Triangle.
